Why is it still taking 6 weeks to release results? The timeline for the release of PACES results was extended to up to 6 weeks in 2020 due to a number of pandemic related factors, including the introduction of virtual examiners for stations 2 & 4 which now means that mark sheets are in multiple locations rather than just one centre.

We are introducing changes to the policy on the maximum number of attempts candidates can take at each part of the diploma (Part 1/Part 2 Written/PACES): Candidates who are applying to sit Part 1 for the first time from the 1 January 2022, will be allowed a maximum of six attempts at each part of MRCP(UK).
The ongoing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic in the UK and resulting restrictions and infection control measures means that additional space and time are still required to run a socially distanced PACES examination.
