2021 PACES Champion Awards: Nominations now open

We rely on many organisations and individuals to give up their time and resources in the delivery of PACES every year.

In recognition of this commitment, we have developed the PACES Champion Award. Both UK and international recipients will be chosen from nominations which can be made by anyone who is involved in the exam.

This year will be focused on recognising individuals who have gone 'above and beyond' in delivering PACES during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Dr Ken Dagg, MRCP(UK) Medical Director for Assessment said, "It is a great pleasure to invite nominations for our annual PACES Champion Awards. We recognise the enormous effort that many people make running our very successful PACES centres and these awards are our opportunity to recognise individuals who have gone the extra mile. I would encourage you to nominate individuals who you feel deserve extra recognition"

Previous winner, Professor Vernon Oh, said of his win, "It is a signal honour to have received this prestigious PACES award from the Federation of the Royal Colleges of Physicians. I hope that my younger colleagues will also commit themselves to the rigorously validated and fair evaluation of our junior doctors for specialty training."
