The changes to the MRCP(UK) Limited Attempts Policy announced in November 2021 will come into effect from January 2024.
All candidates will be permitted a maximum of six attempts at each part of MRCP(UK). Candidates who reach six attempts will be allowed one exceptional additional attempt. Candidates requesting an additional attempt must demonstrate educational activity that will assist them to pass. Requests based on exceptional circumstances will not be considered.
Candidates who have already had six or more attempts at any part of the examination will be permitted one additional attempt.
