The COVID-19 pandemic continues to impact on the running of PACES examinations and the availability of spaces across the world.
Therefore, to ensure that candidates have an opportunity to progress and achieve the MRCP(UK) diploma, all candidates who have been affected will be eligible for a further 12 months extension. Those who originally expired in 2020 and 2021, and who have already received an extension, will be included.
Details of the normal eligibility period are outlined in paragraph 3.5 (page 5) of the MRCP(UK) regulations.
Candidates who have had six attempts at any part of the MRCP(UK) (Part 1, Part 2 Written, PACES) will still need to follow the limit on attempts procedure outlined when applying for a future diet of the examination.
