We understand that the cancelation of exams due to the COVID-19 situation has had an impact on many candidates and their plans to complete the MRCP(UK) diploma.
To ensure that candidates have an opportunity to progress, those whose seven-year eligibility period was due to expire in 2021, have now had this extended by 12 months. This is in addition to those candidates whose eligibility ends in 2020 which has been extended to the end of 2021.
Details of the normal eligibility period are outlined in paragraph 3.5 (page 5) of the MRCP(UK) regulations.
Candidates who have had six attempts at any part of the MRCP(UK) (Part 1, Part 2 Written, PACES) will still need to follow the limit on attempts procedure outlined when applying for a future diet of the examination.
