Changes to MRCP(UK) examination fees from 1 July 2024

The MRCP(UK) examinations are recognised around the world as quality benchmarks of medical knowledge, attitudes, and clinical skills.

The Federation of Royal Colleges of Physicians of the UK is committed to the continuous improvement of our assessments to ensure they remain relevant and up to date ensuring the best possible care for patients by highly skilled physicians.

Due to inflation in the UK and internationally, which continues to impact operating and delivery costs, fees will increase for all examinations taking place from the 1 July 2024 (2024/03 diets onwards). This is only the second time that fees for MRCP(UK) examinations have been increased in the last ten years.

This increase will apply to all candidates sitting MRCP(UK) Part 1 and Part 2 written examinations and the PACES clinical examination, in the UK and internationally. Please see the table below:

The Federation remains committed to reviewing its costs on a regular basis. We are continuing with a programme to invest in new technologies that will improve and future-proof our systems, as well as supporting our staff to provide high-quality, cost-effective customer service for everyone sitting our examinations, undertaking medical training and maintaining their continuing professional development expect.
