The Federation of Royal Colleges of Physicians of the UK is seeking to appoint a new Chair of the MRCP(UK) Part 1 Examining Board.
The successful applicant will have overall responsibility for the clinical and academic leadership of the Part 1 Examining Board and for the on-going development of the Part 1 Examination in the context of the overall development of the MRCP(UK).
The Chair of the Part 1 Examining Board will advise on issues affecting the academic and quality aspects of the MRCP(UK) Part 1 Examination.
The person appointed will be a Fellow of one of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of the UK, with a license to practise, and practising in a medical specialty. A full list of responsibilities is set out in the job description and person specification for the role.
The Chair of the MRCP(UK) Part 1 Examining Board is expected to commit one session per week to Examining Board matters. The Federation agrees to reimburse the employing Trust or Board for the appointee’s salary (1PA) and associated costs.
