MRCP Part 1 2017/02 application period has now opened

6 Feb 2017

Candidates are advised the application period is open from 06 February 2017 until 24 February 2017.

Late applications will not be accepted for any reason.

Applications should be made through candidate’s My MRCP(UK) account. If you have previously applied for an examination with us, please do not create duplicate accounts with us as this may delay the processing of your application.

If you are a first-time entry candidate, you will be assigned an RCP code number once you have applied for the Part 1 written examination. You must only send your Primary Medical Qualification to us once you have been assigned your RCP code number.

Please see Section 5.6 of our regulations on how to get your Primary Medical Qualification correctly attested.

If your payment online is not successful, please speak with your bank to find out why the payment was declined and then reattempt the payment online via your My MRCP(UK) account.

We will be experiencing a very high number of phone calls and emails during this time. All emails will be responded to by the 15 March 2017; please do not send us duplicate emails as this will delay our response time.

We thank all candidates for their patience during this time.

Dear sir/madam, Do I apply first or send my attested documents first ? Could you state the steps at a glance please ?

Thanks for your question, candidates should complete an application prior to submitting their attested documents. An explanation of the application process can be found at: https://www.mrcpuk.org/mrcpuk-examinations/part-1/how-complete-your-application

Hi, I've been trying to do my registration in the MRCP(UK) online account in order to apply for the exam but I can't complete it. When I click finish it shows me this message: "Error saving SiteUser: Cannot set column 'QualName'. The value violates the MaxLength limit of this column." Would someone be able to help me with this, please?

Hi, I've spoken to colleagues and it appears that the qualification information you have submitted exceeds the maximum character limit for that box. They have recommended that you should select the closest option in the menu or abbreviate your qualification. Should this not solve the issue please send a screen shot to Part1@mrcpuk.org.
