The Federation of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of the UK is pleased to confirm that MRCP(UK) clinical and written examinations will recommence from this Autumn, both in the UK and internationally, dependent on the impact of COVID-19 in each country and in accordance with their latest policies on travel, social distancing and infection control. All examination dates will be confirmed as soon as possible and we will provide candidates with further details and guidance on how things will run on the day ahead of their exam date.

Restarting PACES in the UK

The Federation of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of the UK is focussed on restarting all assessments; MRCP(UK) Parts 1 & 2, PACES and Specialty Certificate Examinations, in September as currently scheduled. We have been working closely with our third party providers to find new dates for the SCE's and European specialty examinations that were cancelled early in the pandemic and are pleased to confirm these have now been rearranged.

The Federation of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of the UK is pleased to announce that new dates have been confirmed for those Specialty Certificate Examinations (SCE’s)  and European Specialty Examinations that were cancelled earlier this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

We have been working closely with our third party partners to confirm these dates and ensure the examinations can be delivered for the rest of 2020, and beyond if necessary, in accordance with the relevant local, national and international guidance on physical distancing.

The registration period for the SCE in Medical Oncology is now open to candidates in all countries. The examination is expected to take place on 9 September 2020.

It has come to our attention that messages have recently been circulated via the messaging service WhatsApp and Facebook inviting people to become members of the Royal Colleges of Physicians, UK. We would like to make it clear that we do not communicate to candidates via any mobile apps regarding obtaining membership and/or MRCP(UK) licensing. Messages such as these are fraudulent and should not be responded to.

As a consequence of the ongoing global COVID-19 situation, the Federation of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of the UK has taken the extremely difficult but necessary decision to cancel all MRCP(UK) examinations in the UK and internationally from Monday 16 March until September 2020.

Due to an IT systems issue, candidates may be temporarily unable to view their exam results in their MRCP(UK) online accounts.  We are currently working to correct this and will update this page once systems have been restored.  We are sorry for any inconvenience this is causing candidates.
