Submitting a paper application

Candidates applying to sit the Part 1 or Part 2 written examinations in Hong Kong will need to submit paper applications directly to the administration team for each of these centres; please refer to the Hong Kong section below.

Candidates applying to sit the Part 1 or Part 2 examinations in Singapore can now apply online from the Part 1 2016/1 examination going forward, applicants should refer to the Singapore section below.

International PACES candidates applying to sit the clinical examination in Hong Kong and Singapore should refer to the PACES section below.

Payment if submitting a paper/emailed manual application

Please be aware that there is no payment section on any paper/electronically filled manual application forms. This is because we must comply with UK law so we cannot accept credit/debit card details sent in emails/via the contact form on this website, either in the body text or as attachments, or by post.  We also cannot accept card details by post, nor encourage any candidate to send card details by post/email to any third party (e.g. Hong Kong local organisers).  If you do send card details in this manner it is entirely at your own risk. Card details received in emails or as attachments will be immediately deleted and payments will not be actioned. Card payment can only be made if applying online via the application system or by telephone to either MRCP(UK) Central Office or the relevant contact for Hong Kong or Singapore, as advised below.

Part 1 Examination

If you are applying for the exam for the first time, or you are re-applying to sit after your seven year eligibility has expired, please download and complete Form A and Form B.

If you have sat the exam in the last seven years you will only need to download and complete Form B.

If you are applying for the Part 1 examination for the first time then you will be required to submit evidence of your primary medical qualification.

This will normally take the form of an authenticated copy of your Diploma of Primary Medical Qualification (please do not submit original certificates to any MRCP(UK) office), or your UK General Medical Council (GMC) Registration Number (meaning that your details appear on the GMC website).

Part 2 Written Examination

Please download and complete Form C.

PACES

Candidates intending to apply to the UK or to an international centre are advised to consult the Form P guidenotes.

Applications for the PACES examination (UK and international) should be made via a candidate’s MRCP(UK) online account, with the exception of applications for Hong Kong where a fillable copy of Form P will need to be completed and submitted to gloriang@hkcp.org.
 

Hong Kong

Candidates are not able to apply online for Part 1 and Part 2 Written examinations in Hong Kong. Candidates will need to submit their applications directly to the administration team for each of these centres.

Part 1 and Part 2 Written examination fee: HK$8,155 (charged in Hong Kong dollars)

Singapore

Part 1 and Part 2 Written examination fee: £594

Singapore candidates can apply online and will need to follow the instructions below to ensure they are applying for the right centre.

An additional local examination fee will apply to candidates who wish to take the joint examination with the National University of Singapore (NUS).

Please note local trainees should apply for the Singapore: Local trainees examination centre, Non-local trainees should apply for the Singapore: Non-local trainees examination centre.

Non-local trainees who apply for the Local trainees examination centre will be transferred to the Non-local trainee examination centre, if this centre is full they will be given a choice of alternate centres to apply to.

Candidates who are unsure about their trainee status should enquire with the local organiser or College of Entry.
