MRCP(UK) Part 2 Written Examination - Centres outside the UK
Please note that the information given here relates only to the MRCP(UK) Part 2 Written Examination held at centres outside the UK. Eligibility
In addition to the normal eligibility requirements for the Examination, candidates are usually required to be resident or working in one of the above listed countries to be eligible to sit the Examination there. Doctors working in countries not listed above are generally required to sit the Examination at a centre in the UK.
Note: Doctors who are resident or working in Pakistan or Bangladesh are now eligible to apply to sit the Examination in India.
Applying - Paper applications
At centres where there is a local MRCP(UK) Examinations Organiser candidates should submit their application directly to the overseas centre. Application forms and further information about the application procedure can be obtained by contacting the overseas centre directly. Contact details for each centre are available by clicking on the centre in the table above. Application forms are also available for download from this website but must be submitted directly to the overseas centre.
Candidates who wish to sit the Examination at the following centres should submit their application directly to the MRCP(UK) Central Office (Overseas Examinations Section) in London, UK:
- Egypt (Cairo)
- India (Chennai, Mumbai, Kolkata, Thiruvananthapuram)
- Libya (Tripoli)
- Malta
- Pakistan (Karachi, Lahore)
- Saudi Arabia (Riyadh)
- West Indies (Trinidad)

Places at all centres are limited and the selection of candidates is the responsibility of the centre concerned (with the exception of centres listed above where admission is at the discretion of the MRCP(UK) Central Office.) As a result, candidates are advised to apply early within the application period. Applications will be accepted from 1 month before the published closing date.
