Applying - Paper applications

Application forms are available for download from this website.

Up to date contact details for each overseas centre can be obtained by clicking on the centre name in the above table.

For overseas centres where there is a local organiser candidates should submit their application directly to the overseas centre address.

For overseas centres where there is no local organiser candidates should submit their application to the Overseas Examinations Section of the MRCP(UK) Central Office, which is located in London, UK.

The MRCP(UK) Central Office can assist all candidates with their application enquiries. Overseas candidates should email overseas.queries@mrcpuk.org.

Local organisers are able to provide advice to candidates on the correct application procedure for their respective centre only.

We aim to acknowledge receipt of applications sent direct to the MRCP(UK) Central Office within 5 working days (Monday – Friday) of their arrival. Please check with your courier or special delivery service for confirmation of delivery before contacting us.

Most correspondence will be sent via email so candidates must ensure, wherever possible, that a valid email address is written on their application. When contacting the MRCP(UK) Central Office candidates must provide the following information: RCP code number (if applicable); full name as it is written on the application; date of birth; chosen exam centre.

Places at all centres are limited and the selection of candidates is the responsibility of the centre concerned (MRCP(UK) Central Office is responsible for candidate selection at overseas centres where there is no local organiser). As a result, candidates are advised to apply early within the application period. Application opening and closing dates for each Examination are published on this website.

Applying - Online applications

Online applications are accepted for selected overseas centres.
Please visit the Online Examination Services page for details of how to apply online.

Fees

Please refer to the MRCP(UK) Part 1 Exam Fees for up-to-date information on overseas examination fees. All cheques and bank drafts must be made payable to 'The Royal College of Physicians'.

We would recommend (overseas) candidates pay by credit card rather than by bank draft. Payments by credit cards are insured and can be easily traced in the event of a discrepancy. If a bank draft is not received or is unsuccessfully processed by Central Office, the bank issuing the draft may not automatically be able to refund the payment. Please note it is the candidate’s responsibility to resolve any issues in an event like this.
