Not all centres offer the MRCP(UK) Part 2 Clinical Examination (PACES) at each diet. Please refer to the PACES Exam Dates for details of when each centre is scheduled to hold the Examination.
Note: Owing to a number of factors it is possible these dates may change over the course of the year and should be used as a guideline to when the Examination is likely to be held at each centre. More definite details can be obtained directly from the overseas centre.
Eligibility
In addition to the normal entry requirements for PACES, candidates are usually required to be resident or working in the country where they would like to sit the exam. For most centres, applications can be accepted from candidates based in other countries if there is space available. Countries where applications can be accepted from are noted below alongside each centre’s contact details. Doctors working in countries not listed should apply to one of the three Royal Colleges of Physicians to sit the exam in the UK.
Applying
Application forms are available for download from this website.
Candidates must submit their application to the address of their chosen exam centre, as noted below. Candidates are only permitted to apply to one exam centre per diet. Candidates who make simultaneous applications to more than one centre risk losing part of their surplus exam fee.
Places at each centre are limited and the selection of candidates is the responsibility of the centre concerned. As a result candidates are advised to apply as early as possible within the published application period.
Centre details
*Exceptionally, applications from citizens resident outside of these countries may also be accepted at the discretion of the local organiser or the MRCP(UK) Central Office (where applicable), depending on the number of available spaces. It is each candidate’s responsibility to ensure they can obtain any necessary visas to enter the country of the exam. Refunds cannot be given based on visa issues.
