Online Examination Services
We offer a range of online examination services to assist candidates on their path to obtaining MRCP(UK). Candidates who create an online account will be given access to the following services:
- apply online for an examination (see details below) *
- track the status of a current online or paper application *
- view details of current and previous attempts, including result information *
- view personal details and update contact information.
Creating an online account
The online account, known as My MRCP(UK), is designed to provide candidates with a more direct and efficient way to interact with the Colleges. When creating an online account, candidates who have previously applied for an MRCP(UK) Examination (and therefore have an RCP code number) will be required to provide the following information:
- RCP Code Number
- date of birth
- a valid email address
- the University/Medical School that issued their primary medical qualification (e.g. MBBS).
Candidates who have not previously applied for an MRCP(UK) Examination will be required to provide the following information:
- family name / last name
- first name(s)
- date of birth
- a valid email address
- GMC registration number (if applicable)
- details of the University/Medical School that issued their primary medical qualification (eg. MBBS)
- date of graduation / date primary medical qualification was issued.
Create an online account now
To avoid creating a duplicate online account, candidates are required to answer the question at the start of the online application: ‘Do you have an RCP Code Number, e.g. have you previously applied for an MRCP(UK) examination?’ Please note that candidates must have only one RCP code number.
A candidate will have been given a six-digit RCP code number if they have:
- applied for an MRCP(UK) examination before, even if they did not actually sit the examination
- enrolled with JRCPTB (this will be stated on previous correspondence from the MRCP(UK) Central Office/JRCPTB).
Under no circumstances should a candidate create more than one online account or register for the same examination more than once using a duplicate online account. If candidates have difficulty creating an online account or are concerned about their application, they should contact the relevant Administration Office. Creating a duplicate account may result in a delay to your application to the examination and you may incur additional fees.
The online application service is available within the Upcoming Exams section of My MRCP(UK) and is available to any candidate who wishes to apply for either the MRCP(UK) Part 1 or Part 2 Written Examination *.
It is not currently possible to apply online for the MRCP(UK) Part 2 Clinical Examination (PACES). Any updates about this service will be available on this website.
Candidates should refer to the Upcoming Exams Calendar for the application period during which online applications will be accepted for forthcoming Examinations.
Candidates may apply online to sit an examination at any UK centre or any Part 1 or Part 2 Written overseas centre for which the application type is listed as ‘Online’.
Candidates wishing to apply to take an examination at an overseas centre for which we do not accept online applications should instead submit a paper application to the appropriate centre address.
* These services are currently not available for the MRCP(UK) Part 2 Clinical Examination (PACES).
